Movie Madness is an event pitting 64 films against each other in a tournament where only one will triumph (to find out more, click here).
Who will progress to the next round? You decide.

    Schindler's List (1993)
Based on a true story, Steven Spielberg’s holocaust film stars Liam Neeson as Oskar Schindler, the German businessman who set out to exploit cheap Jewish labour in Poland and ended up putting everything on the line to save 1100 Jews from the gas chambers at Auschwitz. Shot in black and white with iconic splashes of red, Spielberg’s film is both an emotionally draining depiction of the horrors of the Holocaust and an uplifting recognition of the existence of human kindness even in the darkest of times.

    Apocalypse Now (1979)
Francis Ford Coppola's Apocalypse Now focused on the Vietnam War is a very polarising film. Some describe it as a visionary masterpiece, for others it is impenetrable and boring. Regardless of your viewpoint it is hard not to appreciate the ambition that went into the film.

I'm surprised Apocalypse now only has one thus far, Schindler's list is a fair bit better, but they're both great.

Apocalypse Now is more uneven, but the good bits are much better than Schindler's List.

Agreed, but then the bad bits of Apocalypse (esp. in the Redux version) are really bad.

I'll have to think about this one.

Went for Schindler's list this time.

both are great but Schindlers is just a proper classic film that i couldn't not pick this time.

No disrespect to the Jews, but Apocalypse Now is objectively a better made film in my eyes.

Went with Schindler's in the end; it being the more consistent of the two.
