Flashdance vs Dirty Dancing

One ofmy friends just told me she prefers Flashdance to Dirty Dancing, and i was wondering who else is completely out of their mind?! :biggrin:

Well I haven't seen Flashdance and yet I can say with certainty that DD is better! :p:

(Ok, so that's not very sensible.... but) the soundtrack for DD is incredible: Time of my Life, Be my Baby, She's Like the Wind, Do you Love Me, Big Girls Don't Cry etc. So many classics. Also the line about the water melons. I am a recent convert, but the fact is DD is awesome. :biggrin:

And yes, despite my passion for DD I am straight. :p:

I think Dirty Dancing has a better soundtrack (although the soundtrack for Flashdance is exceptional); and is probably the better film overall; but personally I prefer Flashdance.

I think Flashdance is a really inspirational film and whilst I suppose Dirty Dancing can be inspiring to an extent, FD gets my vote every time. Both great films though.

I avoided them like the plague for years but then my ex girlfriend persuaded (forced!) me to watch Dirty Dancing and I enjoyed it to my surprise, so that gave me the incentive to watch Flashdance.

I would recommend them to other males as well. Even if you don't like them, there's some hot women in both films and watching them will probably earn you a bit of kudos with your girlfriend/potential partners.
