Hi I am moving into second year at Royal Holloway from a different university. I don't know the area and don't have a clue where to start looking to live. I definitely don't want to live in university halls and I don't mind commuting assuming there is a good train/bus service. Can anyone give me any advice? I would preferably like to live somewhere with stuff going on; shops, restaurants etc. as I would also be looking for part time work. I would really appreciate any input thanks

    Hi there,

A lot of our students like to live close by to the university and so rent shared houses in Englefield Green or Egham. There are a few restaurants and pubs in these areas, but no shopping malls or department stores. However, students also commute in from bigger towns like Windsor and Staines.

This website might be useful to you if looking for private sector housing, and you would also like support from the university: https://www.royalholloway.ac.uk/stud...ctor/home.aspx

    Best,
    Emily
