For medicine none of my friends have much work experience(some have a week in a GP or hospital and some even less than that) whereas this one guy has practically every sort of experience you can think of under his belt. I personally have a day in a hospital, a day in a gp surgery, a week in an accounts that does a lot of work with the medical sector and hope to have some more by the end of the summer i also worked as a leader for the school's peer-mentor team for 4 years. Do you have to write about how long the experience was for or do you just say you have work experience 'here' and learnt 'this'?

I applied for dentistry, but same sort of process... I didn't specifically mention how long it was for, and afterwards realised that may have impacted my offers negatively; as some unis said that they want to know that you have done at least this much time in a place of work. So its dependent on your choices of uni, have a look on their websites, if they mention recommended amounts of time; and you've met those or exceeded then definitely say so in your PS.
