Advice for someone starting A level Literature?

Like in the title, I'm starting A level literature (AS) this year...

and I have no idea what to expect!!!! :biggrin:

What do I need to be prepared for and how?

Extra Info:
I've started reading the novel for my prose (The Secret Agent) during the summer but that's it :/
Should I also make notes???
Also, if you could tell me some sites and books which helped you with English Lit that would be great :smile:
Make sure you know the texts inside out (obviously you don't need to do that over the Summer, that's what teachers are for, but it's good to have read them and started thinking about themes), I love Eng Lit personally, but there is a lot of analysing for interpretation and symbolic meaning etc.

Two websites which are absolute lifesavers: Shmoop and Sparknotes, they are both amazing.
