Hello. I completed a taught Masters degree at Oxford about a year ago. I am a bit concerned because my significant other is Norwegian and if we decide to get married and I move to Norway, the national educational recognition authority (NOKUT) will not recognize my Masters degree from Oxford. Does that mean I will not be able to find a job in the country based on that qualification? What do other people with UK taught Masters degrees who are in Norway do to overcome this issue? Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated. Many thanks.

I find it difficult to believe that you will be at any disadvantage in applying for jobs, listing your qualifications on your CV. I don't know why you even inquired about NOKUT recognising your degree, unless it's a specific field you want to go into that absolutely requires you to have a Masters. What employer is not going to recognise a Masters degree from Oxford? I really think you're getting hung up on nothing here, unless I'm missing something.

It is very rare in Norway to get a job based purely upon paper qualifications especially if you are a foreign national.

As for the Masters, it will depend a lot on what subject it is in and nope qualifications from Oxford doesn't mean anything here in most fields.
