    Can studying a specific niche religious studies such as studying doctrines of christinity or islam or lets say buddaism find you a job? What if you get a degree in these fields will it help you get a job?

    You could get a job in the Church of England. Just think how satisfying it would be pontificating to the masses whilst not doing any real work, living in a nice house, getting well fed and getting laid as well.. Only downside is having to wear a funny hat and talk BS.

    I mean jobs like admin and business, a degree is a degree right? Im sure they wouldnt mind?

    Well an RS degree is still a degree as you said, but obviously it may benefit you to have a more mathematical degree if you want to go into business. However, there are certain conversion courses you can take so you are more suitable for a job (I am not an expert though, so you may have to research to see if they would be good for your situation).

    At the end of the day, the university you study at probably affects your employability too. If you do RS at Cambridge or Oxford that probably ups your chances :P
