Hi, I'm at the end of yr12 and am hating what I'm doing in sixth form (I put it down to exam stress but exams are over and I still hate it, I'm bored and feel unstimulated by my all academic subjects). If I could restart yr12 I would have taken art as dropping it after GCSE is one of the biggest mistakes I made, however I cannot resit the year so was wondering what to do from here. I could drop out and restart at college (although giving up halfway isn't particularly appealing), make my own portfolio and apply anyway or do a foundation course. What's the best course of action?

My friends who are doing an Art Foundation this year have done A Levels alongside this, but their offers typcially include getting a certain grade (usually A) in at least 1 subject so I think you should be fine. I think you should go to college and do A Level Art. As well as a great portfolio, I'm sure you will get offers to do an Art Foundation course
