About Adjustment, my predicted grades is ABC and I have applied to BBB and BCC universities but say I end up getting ABC as predicted could I still try and get into a ABB university through adjustment or would that just be a stupid idea?

You just need to have exceeded the grades required. So if the BBB is your Firm - no, you havnt matched the 3rd B required, and therefore havnt exceeded your offer. To use adjustment you would need at least ABB.
BUT. Think long and hard about this before you do it. Just because a Uni is asking for higher grades does not mean it is a 'better' Uni or the course will match your interests etc 'better', and in particular it doesn't mean you will be any happier there. It will be a mad scramble to get a place, get accommodation organised and reorientate your head to a different Uni/city, neither of which you will probably have seen. What happens if you get there and hate the place or the course - and then wish you'd gone to your Firm Uni? Too late. It might sound a great idea but the reality is that very few people do actually switch Unis through adjustment - because they realise that in the long run it makes much more sense to their Firm Uni rather than trying a ya-boo 'I'm better than you are' trick at the last minute.
