I'll probably major in engineering. I'm not a gamer so I don't need powerful specifications. My budget would be 600-700€..What i'm expecting is a laptop that has a good battery life and has a good display (Will be watching movies occasionally).
    Thanks in advance.

Asus and Lenovo are both decent brands. Depends on what you'll be doing on the machine though. You say you're doing engineering? If you're just going to be writing documents and general office stuff, you'd be fine with a £300-£400 Intel i3 level machine. If you're going to be using engineering and mathematical software on the machine, though, this may need a little more power from the CPU, so you may be wanting an i5/i7 with a little more memory. Then again, if you're going to be doing any graphical modelling, you may be better with an AMD APU. These tend to be a little slower in general tasks than their Intel counterparts, but AMD APUs will outperform Intel's graphics (but aren't as good as a fully dedicated graphics card) and give decent bang for buck. It's not an easy one to answer, it all depends on what software you'll need for your course!
