I have just basically finished year 12 and one of my teachers left the school a few months ago and I was just wondering if it would seem weird to message him on facebook (as that is the only form of contact I would have) just say thank you to him as I didn't get the chance on his last day of being at our school?
I'm not planning to add him as a friend, just message and say thank you.

If you messaged him without adding him as a friend your message will go into his 'other' inbox and he wont receive a notification so you are unlikely to get a reply as he wont see it.

Oh I wasn't aware of that, seems a little stupid but I guess I won't bother then. Thank you
