I applied for student finance and got a letter saying I will receive the minimum amount of money because my parents income was not assessed.

I also applied for a grant since I know my dad didn't earn enough over the last few years, but there was no mention of it on my declaration form.

How will I know when my parents income is assessed and if I got the grant?

    Hi Kittenpaw,

you would be issued a new notification of entitlement letter to your home address once your application has been assessed based on your household income.

It can normally take from 2-3 weeks to process any financial evidence, you can call us on 0300 100 0607 to check with an adviser on the progress of your means tested assessment.
    Thanks

Thanks for the reply, I would have thought it would come with my loan letter since I've done everything from sending my birth certificate to my dads divorce letter. Going to ring tomorrow if I hear nothing back about the grant since I KNOW I am entitled.
