but it usually involves people with there families n mates
How about if you don't have anyone to go with you
do people go to the ceremony alone ?
DO YOU HAVE TO GO TO GRADUATION CEREMONY
i know for a FACT when i graduate- i will not have any family or friend attenting and i will be alone
so can someone please give some insight
i understand i will be sad because everyone will be surrounded by their supporting family

No you don't have to go to it. I didn't go to mine and my brother didn't go to his either, you can just opt to have your certificate sent to you in the post.

You can graduate "in absentia" and have your certificate sent out in the post. Or you can go along and graduate at the regular ceremony, most people won't notice or care that you don't have family there.

My dad never bothered with his (he studied Computer Science at Hull), so I'd say no. My mum went to hers though and I'll definitely be going to mine next July (which will be upon me before I know it)Last edited by DeterminedDreamer; 21-07-2014 at 22:15.
