Hello new on here but found this site useful in the past.

    I am 21, I have 11 A-C GCSE's, 2 A levels, 1 AS level and a Level 2 in Business and admin.

I'm currently employed in the shipping industry but I'm wondering if it's the right career for me. I'm currently on 16K p.a. and there's the potential for 25K or maybe a bit more. I'm not sure if this is very good or not, I'm wondering if I should be pushing my self harder, and I'm at the age where I feel I need to make a decision! Are there any other people in shipping on this forum?

I have thought about other jobs such as Estate agency and financial advisors, but I'm wondering - what careers are there that would be looking for GCSE's and A levels, which can provide a decent salary? It's just frustrating when mates of mine are earning more yet didn't do very well at school.

How good would people say 25K is? Say living with a partner too. Cars are my hobby, and I'd love to earn a decent car, but I'm not sure if this will be enough. Does anyone earn a similar salary and how do you get on?

    Thanks for any advice!
