I'm surprised Eternal Sunshine didn't win, one of my fav films. Sad it lost on tie break vote.

There are still plenty of awesome films left in.

The animations are both going to be very close i reckon!

Wonder if Finding Nemo on the new Pod link we have will influence it at all?

I'm amazed that other people don't realise Saving Private Ryan is rubbish. I watched it with loads of people and nobody liked it!

    But it's so worthy

Good Bad Ugly craps all over it, and Once Upon a Time in the West is better still.

So the Group A-D Finals will be:

    Drama
    1. Shawshank v 3. Fight Club

winner/loser plays off against loser/winner of

    Comedy, Family & Romance
    1. Forrest Gump v 2. It's a Wonderful Life

    Wartime & Western
    4. Saving Private Ryan v 2. Schindler's List

winner/loser plays off against loser/winner of

    Fantasy & SF
    1. LOTR: ROTK v 3. The Matrix

Just a thought. As the group finals only determine the match-ups for the round of 16, and don't actually eliminate any movies, would it be an idea to shorten the polls to two days only for these?

I made the threads an hour ago.

No need to shorten them and that would shift all the later films which is just annoying.

Also, they're still group finals so we still get to declare TSR's Favourite Sci-Fi & Fantasy Film between LOTR and Matrix which is important.
