Hi, just a quick question for anyone who knows the answer! I am going to the University of Worcester and my lectures will be on City Campus, however I have been allocated a room on the St. Johns Campus, is it far to travel to City Campus? And do many students do this?

It's a 1 mile walk - 'University Mile', lots of people get put on opposite campuses - you'll just have to get ready 15 mins earlier.

There's extremely limited City Centre accommodation.

Not at Worcester uni but have been at college there for 2 years.

Its not a huge walk, from the cricket ground to town is about 10 minutes. St johns is a bit further than that, but really not far.

Basically dont worry about it, loads of people will be doing it and if not theres buses.

@Jack, do you crawl from the cricket ground to the High Street!? It's literally 2-3 mins tops!

Hi there! It sounds as if your question may have already been answered, however there might be some extra info I can give you that may help you!

You're definitely not alone in your situation. With a much higher proportion of accommodation being situated at the main St Johns campus, I know many students who travel across the city and between campuses. I've had a fair few lectures there myself in fact.

Walking is probably the most efficient way of getting to your lectures, as bus travel around the city can take just as long. You can look up the route on google maps and visualise it for yourself - the only things separating the campuses are a road and a river. The footbridge is in a pretty convenient position when going to City Campus and also to the library. The route can take between 15-25 minutes depending upon how fast you walk, so I wouldn't worry! Hope this helps!

Hi, your best bet is to check the Accommodation Sticky at the top of the forum.

    Thanks.
