In terms of design, content and length?
A lot of 'third sector' application forms are really bad, especially paper based applications. They don't even give you enough room to write 4 words and write the full address of your workplace!
I've had to fill in a Betfred paper application form recently and that thing is pretty bad in terms of design. Why not give me enough room to write addresses, responsibilities, etc. I CANNOT stand when employers do not give you a fair amount of room to write.
The small amount of room which you cannot sell yourself on. It only gives you enough to give the bare bones of what you did.

Grant Thornton's was cheesy bordering on embarrassing. For such a big firm, they asked things like "What do you think is best about our amazing culture here at Grant Thornton?"
