Don't panic. Seriously - I passed first time, so I am able to give you a lot of advice.

    1. Try and book the test locally. Chances are you know the streets on the back of your hand. Comes to a real advantage, especially for the independent driving bit of the test
    2. Be nice and friendly with your examiner. Try and build some sort of rapport, and if for some reason you take a right turn instead of a left - apologize. By being friendly to the examiner, you are feeling comfortable and quietly confident and the examiner themselves are feeling welcomed and will work in your favour.
    3. Don't drive too fast OR TOO SLOW. I say too slow, because you can cause a serious hazard, due to cars behind slowing down and maybe crazing right into you.
    4. If you know you made a mistake, act on it and acknowledge it. I was nearly given a serious because I didn't see the oncoming car, but because I did an emergency stop and acknowledged this, the examiner accepted my actions and did say the oncoming car was at fault. The oncoming car was driving at 40 mph on a 20mph street

Don't freak out. If your instructor thinks you're ready then you really are ready!!

Just drive as you normally do in your lessons the test is relatively quick, shorter than your lessons would have been. Don't think of it as a test at all and put pressure on yourself, they're only going to make you do what you know and have done before anyway!

Go in believing you can do it! I listened to I Believe - Yolanda Adams like 10 times before mine

Even if it's a pass or a fail, at least enjoy yourself
