My insurance is due for renewal soon (before results day) and so I technically don't have an occupation at the moment, I'm no longer a student at my old school and I'm not yet a student at a university. I don't know what I can actually put on my car insurance for occupation.

Has anyone else been in this situation before and can possibly offer some guidance?

    Unemployed might work?

I'd say you're a student if you've been offered a place at uni and you've just sat your A levels. If the worst happens and you don't get the grades you need for uni, simply call up your insurance and tell them you are no longer a student.
