    Hello!

I am currently in the process of applying for a PhD in the US, having already been offered funding by a prof there. The application deadline is the 1st September, and I am looking at starting in Spring 2015, as agreed with my future supervisor. However, my official Masters transcripts won't be made available by my university until early November this year. An unofficial transcript is on the way to them, so I hope that this can be used instead of the official one to make the decision, as it only excludes my dissertation mark. Has anyone else had this setback when applying to the states? I am concerned that they might turn around and say my application is not valid until the official one arrives, and by then it will be too late!
