Don't know bout you but i am going crazy on google! It seems that no-one else has posted specific answers to certain SAAS questions so here's what i know:
SAAS will process all applications sent before June 30th first, BUT if you send in documents after this, they will send out a provisional award until they process your documents which can take a further 28 days. This provisional award means you will get paid the minimum amount and the payments will go in the bank as scheduled but they wont pay the full amount until proof of income has been assessed. They will backdate any money owed.
I also learned that in Scotland, you have to take your loan letter to your college or uni to be scanned before payment is released. Once you do this payment will go in your bank 3-5days later, WHEN you do this is dependant on your uni or college, some let you scan the letter during freshers week (the week before courses start) but some will only scan it the first day you show up for your course.
Which means you won't get an early payment if thats what you hoped (i know i did lol).
When your first payment is released it is a double payment to assist with start up costs, the rest of the money will be divided into 9 more monthly instalments. Some people for example may receive double payment on the 29th but will still receive their next monthly instalment on the 7th.
So thats what i know, hope it helps people, if you want you can post questions here too :-)
