My final year of college is coming up, originally i thought that i had made at least 5 friends as we all hung around in a group, but none of them have really made the effort to contact me over the holiday, some of them have responded once or twice but have left it at that...When I go back in September I'm afraid that they won't really speak to me so i'll be alone for the final year :/ there isn't really anyone else that I hung out with except for them so I don't know what I'm going to do when I get back...Then there is Uni :/ which given as my course limits me to a choice of two unis (one that everyone in my class is pretty much applying for-I also want to as well) but I don't want to have to be around them in Uni if I choose to go to the more popular uni (manchester met)...what should I do? spend my final year alone and forget about them and make new friends when i get to uni/ continue to pretend to be their friend so i have someone to hang out with until the course ends?

Okay firstly, sorry if I sound blunt, but if you're feeling sorry for yourself then don't. Go out and socialize with people and uni will give you a good advantage of doing that - especially during freshers week. Don't just rely on these 5 friends you've made..make new friends. And even if you did end up spending your final year alone it's not really a bad thing. It means you can spend more time focusing on your studies.

You're complaining about not having friends in college.
My final year in UNIVERSITY is coming up and i've made no friends.
But unlike you and other normal people, i don't desire friendship. So, my advice for you is to go out and just socialise with people. Not just your college friends but lads in your neighbourhood or some place else. I'm sure you'll be able to find them easily.
But if you're still not making any friends. Learn to deal with it and live alone.
