Breast Cancer? - 17 year old male Watch

    Hi!

This is embarrassing and bizarre and I haven't spoken to anybody about this but I've had a constantly itchy left nipple since around October 2013, at first I thought nothing of it and have been putting lotion on it since thinking it's just eczema.

Recently I've thought you know.. what if it was breast cancer? But literally everywhere says that it's like impossible for a male under the age of 30 to have it.

I'm just worried and paranoid and I don't know what to do, I don't want to talk to my mum about it. I was considering making a GP appointment to go to alone to maybe put my mind at ease but I'm hoping to seek some advice on here as well.

    Thank you guys

See a doctor. Nobody here can do anything but guess at what it is. It is highly unlikely to be anything serious, but no one is qualified on here to tell you anything and it would be irresponsible to pretend otherwise.

    Hey anon,

Yeah, book an appointment with your GP, they will be best placed to tell you what to do.

I've had a check before - if need be, the GP will help you sort out an appointment with a specialist. They can check the area, and then, in my case anyway, a blood test from the arm. I received a discharge letter.

The check is nothing to worry about - but it is not worth stressing over. They are there to help you, so just book it!

    Hope all is ok!
