    Hi,
it's my dream to go to university abroad and the US has really caught my eye. I've done quite a bit of searching around, gone to a Study Abroad event but haven't found anything just yet. My main problem is, of course, funding.
But what is best to search for first, the university and course OR what kinda of funding/scholarships are available?
    I'm completely lost!

    Hi!

I would figure out the course/subject first then look at US News and World Report's Best Undergraduate Colleges list for your subject.

Subject rankings are for graduate schools, and that said, I don't think you should base your search on rankings.

The College Board website is a great place to start:

    https://bigfuture.collegeboard.org/college-search

Just check "Financial aid available for international students" and only those with international fin aid/scholarships will turn up.

They have undergrad rankings as well. As an American, searching by subject first to get an idea of what schools to look at was the way my high school told us to go.

On US News & World Report? Because I've just done a search and I can only find Undergrad Engineering and Business rankings separately. Could you post a link or something?

I'm not saying you shouldn't know what you want to study, I'm just saying you shouldn't pick a school based on rankings. Also, what about all those people entering Undecided?
