I am really interested to know what other people think about this.

I am talking about community organisations, the kind of which exist to help, support and encourage ethnic minority groups. These organisations receive funding and support directly from the UK government. They provide social benefits to different ethnic groups in a variety of different ways. All of the established ethnic minority groups within the UK are represented in most if not all parts of the country.

As most of us are aware, the white British population is ageing and declining. That however, is no way saying it is disappearing. Far from it.

The ethnic make-up of the UK remains overwhelming 'White British'. More than 80% of British people class themselves as such, making it the single largest ethnic group in the UK today.

However, population and society never remain static and are always changing and evolving. It must also be acknowledged that in many areas, especially in the main English cities, white Britons are a far smaller grouptoday than at any other point in the past. In many places, they now qualify as a minority group (albeit the largest minority in most cases, but a minority nonetheless).

I believe that WB-minority organisations would be particularly beneficial to elderly people, many of whom have few living family members and sadly live lives of complete and desperate isolation. This is a problem facing old people across the country, but in places that are now WB-minority, the problem is likely to be higher.

In such cases, the quality of life of the elderly could be drastically improved if their particular social and cultural needs were met.

Another WB sub-group who would benefit from community organisations are working-class white boys. The educational shortcomings of this group are often touched on by the press, but so far no-one has come up with any viable solution to the problem.

WB-minority organisations could help to improve the educational aspirations and achievements of young white boys while also helping them with such common issues as low self-esteem, bullying, family life etc.

I honestly see no difference between catering for a white British minority and catering for any other minority. These types of ethnicity focused organisations have a proven track record in delivering positive changes and empowering communities over the decades. Such positive elements should not be limited to certain groups while completely neglecting and disregarding others. Minorities, regardless of their ethnic origins, should be encouraged and supported.

So I'm throwing this out there to hear what other people think about it. Hopefully this will make for an interesting and thought-provoking discussion.

I never said they were. In fact I stated the opposite. Read the thread again.

Yes I see no issue with white Briton organisations. I only see an issue with people that say its racist to have a white Britain organisation.

Perhaps if there were such networks they would instil more trust as people acting towards a general mass of people they can't identify with don't see people - they see markets. It could take the WB's in the inner cities back to the 1940s and 50s with a sense of community that does not revolve around gangs, knives and drugs.

If you can't be bothered to read it then don't post in it.
I will post when and where I like. On topic: I have no problem with organisations that aim to improve communities, whatever their name or target-group. You have referred to White British people as a minority in the country several times, though, and they aren't.

    Sounds like a good plan

Sadly some organisation that have come to WB 'defence' are groups such as EDL and the BNP which have left it slightly difficult for WB people with genuine non-racist concerns.

EDIT: People - OP has stated several times that when they refer to minority, they mean in some places.

This is a African Caribbean Leadership Company located in Haringey, a place where the white British population is less than 20% in certain neighbourhoods.

This is the mission statement of the African Caribbean Leadership Company:

The African Caribbean Leadership Company (ACLC) is a registered charity and limited company that serves the interest of the West Indian Community in Haringey and surrounding areas. The organisation was founded in June 1975 and originally operated under the name of African Caribbean Leadership Council. ACLC operates a community centre and provides a venue for various welfare, educational, training , family, social and cultural activities including: community counselling, mediation services, elderly day care, room hire and social and sports activities.

The organisation provide support services in the areas of Education, Social welfare, Health, Young people's activities, Cultural activities, and Women welfare.

    http://www.aclc.org.uk/
White British people should be able to have venues such as this in places where they are a minority. This would certainly help the situation where white British boys are underachieving in multicultural areas and being left behind. Maybe if they had services such as these funded by national government, their grades would start improving as their confidence grows.

    http://www.aclc.org.uk/services/elders-day-care

    Elders Day Care Service

This project was initially set up to address the needs of frail older African and African Caribbean Haringey based residents, who would otherwise be socially excluded and isolated. The service is based at the Centre three days per week and can only accept referrals from Haringey Social Services. ACLC aim s to further develop this service by increasing the service users and providing a variety of activities such as:

    • Health awareness workshops – blood pressure assessments, health
    • promotion sessions e.g. prostate cancer, diabetes, high blood pressure
    • Exercise classes
    • Social and recreational activities

Do we not care about elderly White British people's prostate cancers, diabetes and social lives too? The situation is only going to get worse in places like London, Birmingham, Bradford.

However the white British are rapidly becoming an ethnic minority in large towns and cities (figures extracted from 2011/2001 censuses):

    Cardiff 88.3% (2001) - 80.3% (2011)
    Cambridge 78.5% (2001) - 66.0% (2011)
    Coventry 78.3% (2001) - 66.6% (2011)
    Crawley 84.5% (2001) - 72.1% (2011)
    Derby 84.4% (2001) - 75.3% (2011)

    Ipswich 90.8% (2001) - 82.9% (2011)
    Kirklees 83.7% (2001) - 76.7% (2011)
    Leeds 89.2% (2001) - 81.1% (2011)

    Liverpool 91.8% (2001) - 84.8 (2011)
    Luton 65.0% (2001) - 44.6% (2011)
    Manchester 74.5% (2001) - 59.3% (2011)
    Milton Keynes 86.8% (2001) - 73.9% (2011)
    Newcastle 90.7% (2001) - 81.9% (2011)
    Northampton 87.7% (2001) - 76.6% (2011)
    Norwich 93.5% (2001) - 84.7% (2011)
    Nottingham 81.1% (2001) - 65.4% (2011)
    Oxford 76.8% (2001) - 63.6% (2011)
    Peterborough 85.75 (2001) - 70.9% (2011)
    Portsmouth 91.9% (2001) - 84.0% (2011)
    Preston 83.1% (2001) - 75.8% (2011)
    Reading 80.6% (2001) - 65.3% (2011)
    Sandwell 78.0% (2001) - 65.8% (2011)
    Sheffield 89.2% (2001) - 80.8% (2011)
    Slough 58.3% (2001) - 34.5% (2011)
    Southampton 88.7% (2001) - 77.7% (2011)
    Swansea 95.7% (2001) - 91.5% (2011)
    Walsall 85.2% (2001) - 76.9% (2011)
    Wolverhampton 75.4% (2001) - 64.5% (2011)
    Wycombe 83.6% (2001) - 75.9% (2011)

This is already the case therefore in Leicester, Luton and Slough (and London for that matter where the figure was 44.9% in 2011).

If identity politics is going to be played by "community organisers" then whites should be allowed to advocate for their own interests too without getting attacked by communists and anti-whites as "racists". That's just a sickening double standard.

BNP are the closest thing you'll get and that's pretty sad. Whites do not have rights, as a majority or a minority. I hate the label minority, it's like calling Indian's a minority or Chinese when they outnumber us 100 to 1. Minorities aren't minorities..

That's why white British people would benefit from adopting cultural values and norms from ethnic minorities. They is no point protecting and funding a culture with a habit of abandoning its elderly population to the point of isolation.

Why would you want to organize people of the same ethnic group? It's bad enough that we even have to have ethnic groups in the first place. If you want to socialise with other people then do so, in a club, a community centre or wherever. To theme a organisation/group around your ethnic group has to be the most anti-social and primitive idea you could have.

I'm no more likely to like the company of a white British person than any other kind of person. If you want to create a 'cultural club' that would be different, because that would be solely a historical/cultural club that would focus on traditions and learning of history (similar to that of black history clubs). Then it wouldn't be such a backward and primitive idea.
