I am applying to university for 2015 entry, and am certain on going down the Engineering route. But am unsure what discipline
I started off wanting to Civil, but then I wanted to Mech, then some Aero, at the moment it is a bit of EE.
I am now seriously considering General Engineering and specialising in the 2nd year.
Unfortunately, The only universities I have been able to find offering such courses, are either at Oxbridge or Oxford brookes
I feel quite confident that I can aim into the ones in between these.

But as most of these unis don't offer such a course.
Would you recommend I apply to the very few that do (Exeter) and then apply for a course in a discipline, with the option of changing quickly if I find the course is not for me.

Only problem I can see is changing between Civ/Mech and EE as they often seem to be in different schools, so can see this problem

    Help me please.

you still have some time to think about it, i would suggest doing more research on each of the disciplines and matching that to your career goal.

Some universities will teach the same engineering modules in the first year or two and then teach the specialist courses in the final year(s) so it allows you more time to decide. I think Sheffield do this but not 100% sure.

Nope, they don't, each course at Sheffield is specialised from the start. Although it would probably be easier to transfer from some than others, like from Aerospace because it takes modules from lots of different disciplines and you share quite a few modules with other courses in first year.

edit: maybe you were thinking of the subspecialisations that Sheffield offers?
