    Hi,

I have looked all over this forum and found various information on my issue, but none of it seems to be recent so I would just like to check.

I have just completed a 2 year HND (both years funded by SFE) in June and have been given a place at Uni to take a BSc starting in year 2. The BSc is 3 years, I would be studying years 2 and 3.

I have been told that due to year 2 being equivalent to level 5, the same as the HND, I will not be funded for it. Is this correct?

    Kind regards

    Hello

As long as the qualification you are aiming to get is of a higher level than your HND, which in this case it is, then it's your previous study years which are taken into account. If you had to start in year 1 you wouldn't get funding due to your 2 previous years. However, as you are going straight into year 2, you will get funding for this as well as year 3.

    Thanks
