    Hi,

How likely is it to be able to defer a graduate offer (received after a summer internship) for one year?

I've only heard of one case where it happened but I'm guessing most people don't ask for it.

I know of a couple of examples but I couldn't speculate as to how likely a request is to be granted. Might as well ask I guess?

It's hard to say as the selection of candidates and the roles available could change after a year. They might also want to know what you'll be doing for the year as well.

In my experience (this was for Technology) I deferred for a year after an internship in order to do my 4th year at uni. I was told there was no guarantee the position would still be available but in the end I was fast-tracked through the application process and ultimately got in.
