Fear of depression? watch

Hi. I was in a very dark place a few months ago. I'm still not out of it but it doesn't seem as bad at the moment.

Anyway, there are some decisions I need to make about my studies, but when I try and think about things, I worry that I'll end up just as bad (or worse) as I have been and I hate thinking that.

I understand that, with any big decisions, there'll be an aspect of anxiety and that's a natural thing.

I try and stop my 'worrying' thoughts when they appear by telling myself that I don't know what the future holds and it may end up the same, worse or better but I seem to give more weight to the bad possibilities.

Any help/advice would be greatly appreciated.

Heya so some quick questions first: have you spoken to anybody before about these dark moods like a therapist? If you haven't this may be something to consider and I no that it's hard but they can maybe give you some medication or therapy, whichever works best for you!
Trying to make decisions about studying is hard so try and wait until you are in a more positive move before making your final decisions. I know it's hard but try and remember that there are always people around to help an support you.

Please state your decisions that you've made/will make for your studies.

That's good, however, I would advise to stay in the present. Don't stray into the future, you'll worry and end up in another hole. Overthinking kills. I've been there and I'll rather experience physical pain rather than mental pain: it's the worst.

Remember, it's a never ending spiral of emotions IF you let it be. You have the control over how you feel.
