    Hi guys,

I'd like to stream series on my laptop and watch them on my TV. My 3 year old Samsung laptop has HDMI and VGA, my fairly old Philips TV has SCART and audio/video.

What would be the easiest/cheapest/best-quality connection - HDMI to SCART? VGA to SCART?

I've seen lots of adapters and things on eBay but I'm not entirely sure what it is I need. Thanks in advance for your help TSRians

My personal opinion would be to not touch SCART. VGA to AV would be the cheapest and the most likely to work out of the box, and if it's a fairly old TV then you probably won't notice a quality difference. HDMI to SCART would give the best quality but SCART is a nightmare cable (expensive, massive, incompatible, discontinued).

    Cheers for your help guys

I've decided to go with HDMI to SCART. If it doesn't work then I'll post again!
