How do we get VAT off price on laptops.

Whenever I am searching for laptops to buy, the prices always state the exc VAT first and then the inc VAT. Why is this and can students get VAT laptops?

I really don't know much about VAT free stuff. :redface:

You can only reclaim the VAT from the taxman if you're in the computing trade and run your own business. All you can do is look around for the best deal, I'm afraid.

You don't have to be in the computing business, it can be anything that can be VAT registered. However even if you run a company it dosn't mean you can claim it back. I run a company but I am not VAT registered so I can't claim it back.
