Am I entitled to holiday pay? I haven't signed my contract yet but I've worked at a bar for 6 weeks. It's normally 35-40 hours and it's permanent for an outdoor bar.

I think I am, because a guy who worked there last year worked for a bit with me, and when questioned, he said he'd received a substantial sum of money that he was not expecting. At all previous places of employment in hospitality, I have received holiday pay, accrued, of roughly 10% of earnings.

Guidance here: http://www.adviceguide.org.uk/wales/...oliday_pay.htm and here: http://www.worksmart.org.uk/rights/i...t_havent_taken

Bear in mind that the entitlement is to paid holiday rather than to holiday pay.
