I'm 16 years old and I just left school a month or so ago. In September, I'm hoping to be doing an apprenticeship but I still haven't got anything sorted... should I be worried? Its not like I'm not trying, I've been applying for apprenticeships using apprenticeshipvacancymatchingser vice and I apply for some in my area. I applied for one of the main training centres in my area, but I didn't get passed the interview stage. The college in my area that offers apprenticeships is pretty useless and only offers nvq level 2 along with a 30% or less success rate. My only other option is a training center and I got an interview there tomorrow with a company (Ronseal LTD - anyone had any experience with these?). Anyway, I'm just kind of worried that I haven't sorted something yet! Also, I heard that NVQ level 2 is equivalent to GCSE level and that level 3 is A level? So does this mean if I don't get my required C grade in engineering I can just do the level 2? And if I do get my grade, it means I should be doing the level 3, right? I'm also confused on this other training I'd be getting, like functional skills and diplomas?
