    • Hi there

I have applied for a part-time loan and asked for the maximum amount to be given to me on my application. I have an entitlement letter stating that I can get £4500 each year. My course is over £5200?! What do i do

Doesn't the Gov pay (loan till earning) the tuition fees?

Which country do you live in and which loan have you applied for ?

Assuming you live in England then you need the part time tuition fee loan, the maximum they will provide in an academic year is £6750.

    What courses are you studying?

you should have informed them of the cost of your modules, and then SFE would essentially approve it. (my 60 point course costing £2632 is what they are paying) It sounds like you may have stated you would be part paying?

I would ring SFE and ask for advice, they are helpful enough and should be able to amend your application

I agree give SFE a call.

I think you might of applied for the wrong loan or that the application is for a different country (Scotland has a £4500 limit for some funding I think). These are only ideas based on what you've mentioned though.

Don't worry about it, give SFE a call and talk to them because they should be able to guide you through this the best, it's their system after all.

I was given £5264 for my first year. As I am planning on doing 120 credits. Did you put the wrong estimates for cost? Give them a call tomorrow I am sure they will be able to advise you
