I have a dilemma. I have had 2 internships in the sales and trading division of a major bank but its not an investment bank, more focused on retail banking.

I would like to apply for a grad role at a proper ib but have heard that its almost impossible with summer interns taking up the majority if not all the positions.

As i can only apply for either an internship or a grad scheme role at most banks, how should I proceed?

    Many thanks

Out of curiousity, is this HSBC?

Do a Master's and apply to another bank's internship program.
