After graduating, would you work in an unpaid internship to gain the right experience? Even if there was no job guarantee at the end?

It depends with who. Sometimes all these free placements can work against you.

Thanks for your response. How do you think that they could work against you?

Generally unless you have zero experience or skills, you don't need to resort to this.

If the only way you can gain experience in the profession is by working for free chances are you are simply not cut out for a job in that sector. Very few exceptions apply and most of it are in sectors that are mostly voluntary anyway.

I worked for free to gain valuable experience whilst working paid part-time at university. It was very tiring to say the least. I'm the only person I know on a graduate scheme, so I would say as long as you have the right type of experience/skill set for the industry you want to go into it pays off in the end.
