Any chance of a transcript? Some of us can't listen to videos readily.

Eurosceptics gained a lot of votes in the last election but they got nowhere near to securing a majority of votes or MEPs. When Marine Le Penn rants that ''the people don't want Europe!'' she is simply stating something that is not true. Pro-EU groups such as the EPP, S&D and ALDE collectively got over 60% of MEPs. If a majority of people backed euroscepticism then the results would show eurosceptic groups having over 50% of the MEPs.

Top positions in the EU are voted on by the European Parliament. As the EPP, S&D and ALDE have the most MEPs and agree on most things it is therefore obvious that members of these groups will be given the top positions within EU institutions. That's democracy for you. Perhaps she should take her own advice and look at the results herself?

It's strange how eurosceptics demand democracy but then whinge when the electorate don't support them as much as they claim they do.
