How much more can I push this CPU? Watch

    The CPU hits 60c on max load, however the motherboard is at 40c? is this ok? should i go for 4.4ghz lol



    Going to get a new computer soon it only needs to last a year so thought it might as well overclock the bejesus out of it.

    I would be more concerned if the figures were the other way around, CPU is probably fine for up to about 100C though, I'll link some software that will give you some more useful info than CPU-Z (which for some reason is no where near as good as GPU-Z) including power draw, core utilisation and max temp. Just download this, and here's and example of what it looks like:

    Unless the Tj. Max figure is in the 60s or 70s (which I doubt it will be), or it's already starting to draw too much power already, I see no reason why you shouldn't be able to turn it up more, how much mroe you can stably OC though is another matter.

    I reckon you'll be able to go up to 75C with that max.

    I use this and it goes up 66c on one of the cores, speedfan was lower . Admittedly I got the fans at the lowest rpms, cba with loads of noise lol

    The important figure is the Tj, Max, because that's where it will shut itself down to protect itself.
