I'll be starting university in Sept but I'm starting straight into the 2nd year due to the course I did at college. I'm a wee bit worried since I assume everyone else will have met each other in their first year.

I also work part time and should be able to get a transfer to a store near the uni but I don't know how much work I will have to do at uni and I'm not sure that I will have the time to fit everything in.

    Any advice?

Lots of people socialise outside of their course - all my close friends were from completely different courses, and are largely people I've lived with and friends of friends who became friends. There are also societies for you to get involved with. Plus, I'm willing to

Please finish off what you're willing to do before people get the wrong idea!

OP, you will meet all sorts of people in all sorts of different ways. It seems like a problem to you now, but it truly won't be.

Thanks for the replies. I had actually forgot that I would be meeting people through accommodation and clubs.

I took a year out after first year so joined second year with a completely new group and I made loads of friends.
