I need to convert my website (which uses PHP) into static HTML files using a template preprocessor. The solutions I've had suggested to me are ttree and wintersmith, neither of which I could find any usable information about. Is there an easy-to-use way to do this?

The only wintersmith documentation I could find was for Linux and I need to run this on Windows.

If you have your site on Wordpress, then you may try using this plugin https://wordpress.org/plugins/really-static/. Other than that, I can't think of a solution for your problem.

In case someone finds this thread in the future, I wrote a piece of software to do this. It's available at https://github.com/benplumley/makestatic/releases
