    I seem to remember that all of the 2003 Rugby World Cup winning squad were classed as overweight and almost all of them were obese according to their BMIs. Clearly daft.

    BMI is used for the general population that don't have high amounts of lean mass. For the average person it's a decent way to judge the persons healthy weight. Obviously for people with high amounts of muscle mass the formula becomes obsolete.
