I’m from California and am new to this site. I’m skin type 1 and want laser hair removal treatment. I have fairly white skin and dark coarse hair. I was referred to a place in Anaheim CA by coworkers and went in for one session. It seemed to do ok, but I found out it uses a StarLux 500 machine, which I found out is an IPL machine. Based on the things I have read so far, it seems like Alexandrite lasers are the best for my situation. But I have also heard people on this site say Lumenis LightSheer is good as well. Can anyone tell me which laser tool will work best for me?

    Hello there!!
It is my first time visiting this site, and I came across your post.
Well, laser treatment is helpful in removing unwanted hair growth. Laser hair removal is effective than IPL treatment. I’m from India and started my laser treatment a few months back. I have light skin tone may be the type I or II and have pigmented hair growth. My dermatologist from Les CosMedics Clinic, Rajouri Garden, Delhi, is treating with LightSheer Duet diode laser, and it is providing a good result. Hope you consult a board certified physician in your region for the desirable result.
