Some women with PCOS need to have IVF to get pregnant, but it is possible to get pregnant without. If your gf hasnt seen an endocrinologist or gynaecologist already then I advise her to see one, there are other tablets she can take which will help her more than just being on the pill. Metformin is the main medication which is prescribed for PCOS at the moment. It is really important for it to be sorted out as it can lead to further problems if its left untreated. A lot of women manage to get pregnant with fertility drugs such as clomid alone, however there seems to be a higher risk of miscarriage for women with PCOS. Try looking on google for more info.
