Guessing no one else is heading here at the moment!!

I've read all my information now though and am actually really looking forward to heading to Ashcroft!!! University life is what you make it and I can't wait to make lots of new friends and having the time of my life!!!!
Never been inside there, but it seems nice and good location (about 5 mins walk from campus!). They have a mini community there with their own games room and what not.

Hey Lis!

I'll be in Pritchatts Park too although not Ashcroft but Oakley and can't help you much unfortunately cause I know nothing of the place... I'm sure it'll be great though, can't wait to be in Birmingham!
Hey, I was in Ashcroft last year, and its quite nice to be honest. You're in a flat with 5 other people. you have a bath with overhead shower, two loos, a nice size kitchen, with a fridge shelf and freezer drawer each. The rooms are ok, HUGE big desks, a nice amount of shelves, three large(ish) drawers and a wardrobe. Oh, and a decent chair too!

I'm over on the Spinney this year as a student mentor, so you never know I might have you on my rota, whats your flat number?

Oh, and its great to roll out of bed at 8:40 and still make lectures at 9, really rather fab. We're about 5 mins from the train station too, which makes shopping really easy!
Hi im in ashcroft next yr and 5 of my other friends are placed there too! Im living with one of them and my flat number is block 4 flat 33. What are yours? Went to see it the other day and its pretty nice.. good location and clean and looks fairly new.

Hello!!! How scary is it that soon we'll all be living together?!!! Can't wait!!! Gonna be amazing!! Is everyone signing up for Freshers Fest and 14 nights?? Do we have to move in on the Monday? I fancied moving in on Sunday but it said key colection is Monday? Will we miss anything on Sunday night?
Reply 10
As far as I know we won't miss anything cos people aren't moving in on Pritchatt's til Monday... But that's only what I've been told, dunno if there's any truth in that... But I can't wait now... I went to have a look at my room today through the window and it looks great! I'm really chuffed!

That's brilliant, thanks! Can't believe you got to see your room! So are you signing up for both or not?
Reply 12
Apparently, if you ring up you can ask to move in on the Sunday instead of Monday. But there'd be noone else there!!! Just thought I'd let you all know!

I'm really not sure what to sign up for... I've gotta make a decision today before the last post goes, cos I need to send off all my forms today. I think I'm probably gonna stick to the Pritchatt's Park one though, cos the Vale is too far away for me to stumble home, and when I say stumble... I mean falling flat on my face :s-smilie: hehe

When I applied for accomodation I put Ashcroft as my first choice as I really loved the atmopshere when I visited on Accomodation day. You should enjoy it there!

I got my second choice of Oakley Court which I'm happy enough with!

Ah brilliant! Thank you! Can't wait. I've signed up for Freshers Fest and am thinking I might as well do 14nights to. At least then we can go to anything and everything we want to!!!
Reply 16
Oh Lis! What room are you in? Cos my friend said she lived in the flat opposite to you and she said last year lads lived your flat, and she wants to know what room you've got so she can come and say hello... Don't ask me why!
Reply 17
ok???!!! Room 1 maybe?
Reply 18
Lol! If it's room 1 then your gonna be living in this guys room who they called Number 1 cos they couldn't pronounce his name or something, and apparently the guy was a legend.... Scary!!

As for Fresher's I've made my mind up to apply for both Pritchatt's Freshers and the one on the Vale... Party! Party! Party! Can't wait to meet everyone I've been talking to on here! It's so exciting!
dont forget you have lectures during week 2... dont overbook yourself.

For those of you who dont like to party, buy ear plugs. Its bloody noisey during freshers
