Why do so many girls/women read those series? What do you find so special about the books? I just couldn't finish the first book, because the story is ****.

Because quite a few females don't like watching porn. They find sexual text more enjoyable.

It's sad that those are probably mums who are 40+ years old, and still don't know what good book is. In addition, they're perhaps willing to give those books to their daughters.

That is the equivalent of a father giving porn to his son.

Yeah but 50 shades is just so badly written. I stopped reading midway through the first one and went to read some well written fanfiction instead. 50 shades is just really poorly written fanfiction IMO. Good on her for making a **** ton of money out of it though.

I haven't read it so can't comment on how well it is written. I suppose if you're enjoying some of the bits in it you'll look past how badly it is written. Like with porn. You don't watch for the story or production value

    Yeah fair enough.

Only thing could be people might not knowing about that other stuff. Just like what I asked you about a bit ago. Lots of people don't really know about that.
