Can't stop twitching

I had the madly twitching eye thing briefly a few years ago, but over the last few months I've been twitching. It's legs and hands normally and comes on everynow and then during the day so it could happen, say, 5 times in a minute for 4 minutes, or just randomly. I've also noticed tremors when I lean, in particular, on my right side in any angle that puts most of the pressure on my arm.

I'm freaked out! For 2 weeks I've been taking a supplement with 100% RDA vitamin B1 and 40% RDA magnesium, but still no improvement. Before I go to the doctors I need peoples' advice, because it's a battle just to get an appointment at my home surgery, so need an indication as to wether I should allow them to fob me off or not.

Please advise.
Get it checked out,if you fear they will trivialise your problems ,just exxagerate them so that they refer you to the hospital for tests.

I'm hoping it's not a sign of some incurable genetic disease...

There are some genetic disorder affiliated with nerves. I doubt it is. They are very rare. I have a twiching in my arm/hand that has led to some very embarrasing situations. I'm sure it's nothing serious. Many peolpe have it. Commonly in the eye and limbs.
i think it can be temporary aswell,i kindda get some when i;m stressed;eyes, neck, hand, nose (believe it or not lol)

!! i get them alot too but for me its periodic. The posh term is faciculations (fasikculations - pronunciation :P). its just stray signals firing off and for me its triggered by stress.

ive recently began exercising alot more and it seems to have gone completely (or it could be i got my exam results and maybe thats off my mind now, not entirely sure)

my best advice is yes goto the doctors and see what he/she says.

is it pyschological? sounds like it could be...or i've heard compulsive disorders like this can be a result of a premature birth (yours obviously).
sounds like someone is a big pete from big brother fan...ive been twitching uncontrollably - its highly addictive don't u know.

I always end up twitching, I don't think my body appreciates sitting still. I should probably listen to it someday and stop spending my time crawling these forums. :P
