Problems with NHS student bursary regarding self assessment forms.

Hi,

This is a confusing situation.

I am about to enter my second year of university in September, I am on a NHS funded course. I applied for the bursary 1/4/2014 and was informed that as my partner is self employed they would need his self assessment forms as proof of income.

The problem is we send the self assessment forms to HMRC 1/5/14 as soon as we received them, but HMRC didn't received it their end until 1/6/14. My partner has phoned them every couple of weeks to ask when we can have the forms back and they keep saying it's on their urgent pile.

The deadline for the bursary to receive the self assessment form was 30/6/14 and they are now saying that unless it's sent in ASAP I shall not been in receipt of a bursary or tuition funding next year. I cannot afford to be self funded as my tuition fees are £9,000.00 a year and I need to attend clinical placement too.

I really don't know what to do, has anyone else been in this situation.
Thanks for reading.
