dont ask why I am curious about this but I am, im not looking to use laxatives but just wondering.

when it says on chewing gum packets 'excessive consumption may cause laxative effects' does it mean only if you swallow it or just from chewing it?

Why don't you try it and find out - could be an experiment and a half couldn't it

i'm pretty sure it's not from swallowing. it's probably the juices that come from it- the mint-ness.
I think it does. You're swallowing saliva and that has the minty-poo-yourself-ingredient in it.

I have bad childhood memories of eating a whole packet of smints.
I think it's the sorbitol in it, so probably just chewing.

Mint is known to have laxative effects in large doses. While you don't swallow chewing gum; it's possible that just chewing it releases the flavouring which is swallowed when it mixes with your saliva. I wouldn't worry about it- you would probably have to eat near to a whole packet in one go to do it, but the same applies for mints too.

It's the agents that make up the coating IIRC, in the same way eating too many tic tacs, softmints etc. can have the same effect.

I've read that things with spearmint are more potent to the whole laxative thing.. but the best (or worst depending on your viewpoint) natural (natural as in not intended to be a laxative) source is dark chocolate.. too much of THAT and you'll regret it
Or... you could... just take laxatives.

I remember eating a whole box of Polo Holes (remember those?) for a laugh. Then I read the box...
why do you need laxatives? if its for weight loss, you can really really damage yourself

DON'T ABUSE THEM

Fags and chocolate are both laxatives to.

But if you want to use laxatives for ****s and giggles, I can make you do a pint of picolax after which you won't ever want to try it again.

(And you'll need plenty of metanium for your ring of fire)
