I've decided to leave home temporarily but I'm not sure if I should tell my family? And how, without it becoming another argument? I told them yesterday that I'm leaving so if I don't tell them now, they'll probably work it out. I really don't want them to know where I'm going to be in case they try to convince me to come back before I want to.

If you don't then they will think you have gone missing and contact the police.

Why is this so hard? I think I'll just go and if they try to contact me, I'll send a text or something.

Do you need anyone to speak to? If so message me, I've left home pretty much every year because my mum has mental health issues and the Police have escorted me out of her house and taken me to a safe place. It is important however that you do let somebody know that you are leaving until you are in a better frame of mind and that you are safe, all the best x
