I want to go to a uni thats far from home but it will be difficult for my significant other to come with me because he doesnt want to go to uni. He has a job, but at the moment is only earning around 400 pounds a month. This will go up when he's 18, but I'm worried about living with him as he is terrible at budgeting!! But I don't want to leave him behind. Any advice?

Just because you go to uni doesn't mean you can't see him? Why you can't you visit one another from time to time as opposed to having to move in with him.

I want to go to a uni quite far and seeing him like once a month will not help our relationship.

If he cant budget then you have no business moving in with him. Just do long-distance. If you cant, then leave him.

How long have you been together/how old are you both? If you were considering moving in together then I presume you two are good enough to manage long distance.

We're 17, 18 in a couple of months, and we have been together for 3 years.
